Dr. Giles is a lifelong Nebraskan currently residing in Alliance, Nebraska. He was born and raised in Broken Bow, Nebraska. It was here in the heartland of America that he grew fond of the Nebraska Sandhills, its people, and the lifestyle it offered.
Dr Giles graduated from the school system in Broken Bow and enrolled at the University of Nebraska in the fall of 1970. The first two years of school brought national football championships to Lincoln and embedded Big Red football deep in his psyche. Fraternal life (Phi Delta Theta) was a major influence in his experiences during his undergradute years; establishing lifelong friendships and directing his thoughts toward a profession in dentistry. Dr Giles graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Chemistry. Dr Giles entered the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry and graduated in May 1978 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He obtained the Wallace Webster award in oral surgery as a senior. Dr Giles is a 32 year member of the West District Dental Society, Nebraska Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is a past president of the West District Dental Society and maintains licensing for dentistry in Nebraska and Colorado.
Dr Giles selected Alliance in 1978 to establish his dental practice as it offered a familiar lifestyle as a ranch/farming community. His dental practice has always focused on treating all ages from birth to one hundred and beyond. Dr Giles practices in all disciplines of dentistry including Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Endodontics, and Prosthodontics. Cosmetic Dentistry is at the forefront of Dr Giles' concern and treatment of his patients. As our population ages Geriatric Dentistry is an ever more important part of his practice. Dr Giles has participated in several Christian dental missions to Central America.
Dr Giles has always participated in all kinds of sports. He has been an avid tennis player, golfer, snow skier, and softball player. He is a certified scuba diver and has attained the level of black belt in Tae Kwon Do. As a young man in rural Nebraska he grew up being outdoors and today has a passion for upland bird hunting and training bird dogs.. Much of his free time is spent developing wildlife habitat and conservation projects benefiting pheasants in particular. Dr Giles has been a Pheasants Forever board member for many years and is the Habitat Chairman for the Heritage Chapter in Alliance. Dr Giles has been involved with the Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt for over 20 years, guiding actors, generals, politicians, and celebrities with his bird dogs to the championship many times.
Dr Giles and his wife Jane have three sons, Nicholas, Lucas, and Zachary, and are grandparents to Kaitlyn.
